Ruoxin Xiong, Ph.D.

Ruoxin Xiong leads research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, construction and infrastructure management, and open science. His work focuses on human-centric AI, digital twins, and data-driven methods for resilient and smart construction and infrastructure systems. He is the founder of the OpenConstruction Open Science Initiative, which aims to advance transparent, reusable, and trustworthy AI-ready digital assets for the AEC community.

Viet Huy Duong is a research assistant and current M.S. student in Artificial Intelligence. His work focuses on AI-enabled analysis of disaster management and critical infrastructure systems, including the integration of hazard data, infrastructure networks, and vulnerability indicators to support risk assessment and resilience planning. His research interests include machine learning for infrastructure resilience, data-driven disaster response, and decision-support systems for complex, multi-hazard environments.

Henry Zheng is a junior undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science and a research assistant. His research interests focus on artificial intelligence for education and system development, with particular attention to how AI models can be designed to better understand, support, and enhance student learning. Through his research experience, he aims to strengthen his skills in AI research, software development, and the design of intelligent learning systems.

Outside of coursework, Henry enjoys learning about different cultures and languages and building new systems through programming. He has a strong interest in continuous learning, especially in areas related to AI and emerging technologies.
